PATERNIDADE EM TEMPOS DE MUDANÇA: UMA BREVE REVISÃO DA LITERATURA / FATHERHOOD IN TIMES OF CHANGE: A BRIEF REVIEW OF THE LITERATURE

Resumo

Introdução: Discutir sobre a paternidade torna-se relevante para compreender o papel do pai no contexto familiar, e as razões que o levam a se ausentar e os motivos para o pai não estar incluído na saúde reprodutiva. Objetivo: Refletir as mudanças na paternidade e a produção teórica realizada a partir de um levantamento bibliográfico. Métodos: Pesquisa bibliográfica a partir dos termos: paternidade, envolvimento paterno e ausência paterna, vinculando os temas ao contexto familiar e serviços de saúde. Resultados: Apesar dos estudos voltados para a temática da paternidade, ainda são necessários maiores esforços para incluir o pai no contexto familiar e na assistência à saúde, em uma visão que não seja a tradicional como provedor. Conclusão: Recomenda-se que o olhar sobre a paternidade seja ampliado, possibilitando assim, que ações sociais e assistenciais estejam voltadas para a aproximação e maior inclusão do pai neste contexto.

Abstract
Introduction: Discuss about fatherhood becomes important to understand the role of the father in the family and the reasons that lead him to be absent; motives for the father not be included in the reproductive health. Objective: To reflect the changes in fatherhood and the theoretical work performed using a literature survey. Methods: Literature survey using the terms: fatherhood, paternal involvement and paternal absence, linking the themes to the family context and health services. Results: Although there are studies focused on the theme of fatherhood, still greater efforts are needed to include the father in the family and in health care, in a view other than the traditional provider. Conclusion: It is recommended that the look on paternity is expanded, thus enabling social and assistance actions oriented to the approximation and greater inclusion of the father in this context.
