Remoção de nitrogênio de esgoto sanitário em reator de leito estruturado operado com diferentes ciclos de aeração intermitente

Resumo

O principal objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a eficiência de remoção de nitrogênio de esgoto sanitário em um reator de leito estruturado submetido a diferentes ciclos de aeração intermitente (AI). Foram estudados 2 ciclos de AI: ciclo I (2h aeração ligada (AE)/ 1h aeração desligada (AN)) e ciclo II (2h AE/ 2h AN. No ciclo I foi obtido 80±15% de remoção de NKT, 86±15% de N-NH4+ e 68±9% de remoção de Nitrogênio Total (NT) e no Ciclo II de 58±20%, 72±28% e 41±6% de remoção de NKT, N-NH4+ e NT, respectivamente. A eficiência de desnitrificação nos 2 ciclos foi acima de 70%, indicando que no reator ocorreu o processo de Nitrificação e Desnitrificação Simultânea (NDS). Dos resultados conclui-se que o sistema trabalhado foi eficiente em termos de remoção de nitrogênio, e que a fase que apresentou a maior disponibilidade de Oxigênio Dissolvido (OD) e relação C/N (Ciclo I), foi a que obteve as menores concentrações efluentes de N-NH4+.
